Sunday Best - Story 1 - A

HOST EMMA

So tell me, you took a really long break from the internet, six months long, which is your longest break ever. How was that experience? How do you feel? Tell me all about it.

GUEST EMMA

It was really, really important for me to just log off for a little bit, because I've never done that.

Since I've started, I've never done that. So I've really made it a priority to figure out who I am, and what I care about, and what I'm passionate about in real life, because I've spent so much time living on the internet that it was challenging. But coming back was so refreshing, because I feel like I came back into it with a new lust for the internet. And it's been really fun.

Sunday Best - Story 1 - B

HOST EMMA

I'm really happy that you took the time to figure that out. It's not easy to do, but it's so important, but we can't ignore this other huge milestone.

“You know what I love about this brand, and also just Aritzia in general? They have something for any mood that I might be in.”

Sunday Best - Story 1 - A

GUEST EMMA

I turned 21. I'm a big girl now.

HOST EMMA

How has it been, turning into an adult in the public eye? I mean, it seems like you're doing it gracefully, but what's the truth?

HOST EMMA

It is really confusing to grow up in the public eye, because people become familiar with who you are as a young person. And then when you become an adult, and start doing adult things, I think it's kind of weird for people to watch that sometimes. It's kind of uncomfortable, but I just try to remember that it's normal.

Sunday Best - Story 1 - B

GUEST EMMA

I'm growing up, I'm a human being. We grow up, unfortunately. I'd love to be a toddler forever. Wouldn't we all? But, it's okay, and normal and natural, to develop and evolve and change. And if anything, I think it should be celebrated. And I think that if you do it, and you're shameless about it, and you're honest about it, I think that it's a lot easier for you, and for the people watching, to feel comfortable with it.

HOST EMMA

You got it. Growth is important.

Sunday Best - Story 3 - A

GUEST EMMA

So cute. Right? And you know what I love about this brand, and also just Aritzia in general, they have something for any mood that I might be in. Like if I'm feeling preppy. Or more tomboyish?

HOST EMMA

Oh yeah.

GUEST EMMA

Maybe she's feeling sexy.

HOST EMMA

Gorgeous.

GUEST EMMA

Or a little rebellious?

HOST EMMA

Rock on.

GUEST EMMA

Or maybe she just wants to be cute, and soft, and tender.

HOST EMMA

I mean, who wouldn't?

GUEST EMMA

I just like to be me like any version of me, because I don't like to put myself in a box.

HOST EMMA

Not me. That's for sure.

GUEST EMMA

No way, dude.

Sunday Best - Story 3 - C

Emma’s Moody

“I just like to be me. Any version of me. Because I don’t like to put myself in a box.”

Sunday Best - Story 4 - A

HOST EMMA

So on that note, how do you express all of the different sides of yourself? It must be very hard to maintain a sense of self, and a sense of personal style when you're being perceived by everybody on the internet, and there are so many comments and opinions in all of this. How do you stay true to yourself in your style?

GUEST EMMA

I think the most important thing is to constantly be checking in with myself, and making sure that all the choices I'm making, I'm making for me, and not for anyone else, because it's hard when you have a few more voices speaking to you than normal, to do that. But you just got to check in with yourself. Look in the mirror, and be like, "What are you doing?" every once in a while.

Sunday Best - Story 3 - B

HOST EMMA

What a great sentiment. Nothing like a little bit of self love to round out the day.

GUEST EMMA

I am who I am. The good and the bad.

HOST EMMA

I really needed that reminder.

So what's next for Emma Chamberlain? What are you dreaming about? What are you working on? What's next?

GUEST EMMA

I don't really like to plan anything. I just like to take it day by day, and see what excites me on any given day. So I know just as much as you.

Sunday Best - Story 5 - B
